Wow, these past few weeks have flown by. It's been busy, tiring, hectic even, but for all the right reasons! I am filled with thankfulness for the time we've been able to spend with family and friends these past few weeks.
We had a visit form Grandma & Abo in the middle of May. While they were here we watched Rob coach, went to the zoo, and one night they hung out with some New York City pizza while Rob and I had a date night! Grandma & Abo got to be a part of a couple of Lucie's therapy sessions which was great too.
We borrowed a friend's car and drove to NJ for a family celebration and danced and danced!
Lucie's team of therapists met this past week to discuss what everyone is focusing on in their sessions with her. The team meeting was a little bit overwhelming, but, long story short, the Goose is doing great. Her PT called her a, "Gross-Motor Champ"! The primary focus right now across all therapists is her mouth posture, feeding, speech development and her attention span. Everything we're working on is to help build the foundation for the "next thing" she'll need to be ready to do as she gets older, which changes daily as she learns more and more. We're starting to explore what it might look like to have Lucie enroll in a Center a few times a week come fall as well.
We're looking forward to the summer in the city. Hopefully we'll get one or two days to visit the pool and the beach. Hope you enjoy the pictures!
Love, Los Hicksons
