Friends!
Thanks for all of the encouraging words today. The last few days have been so hard, we miss our sweet girl so much and just want her to get well and not need to be in the hospital any longer.
Since this morning, Lucie's cold has really started to clear up. They have decided to decrease her countdown for discharge to 24 hours instead of 48 hours, which is a relief to hear. They will restart the clock if she has a desat or brady that lasts for 5 seconds or longer, even if she is able to come back up on her own without any assistance. Her last instance that was counted as an official episode was overnight at 1am (5/3)! So once we pass 1am tomorrow morning (5/4), we should be in the clear! We'll know officially some time tomorrow when all of the doctors check her out.
They decided to try to give her Zantac for reflux to see if that would help her stop having the vasovagal response when she'd take her bottle and have a brady. We're not sure if it's that her cold is going away or if the Zantac is already starting to help, but she has no longer had any brady's while feeding, which is a huge answer to prayer.
We'd love your continued prayers for Lucie to have a smoothe night tonight with no episodes at all, so that we can hopefully bring her home tomorrow!
We'll keep you all posted!
Love,
Los Hicksons
