Dearest Friends & Fam!  

Lucie is doing so great!  Her IV came out during the night and instead of giving her a new one, they decided that since the nutrition she was receiving via the IV was so minimal, instead, they would increase her feeds to 7mL per hour! 

Hey Kiddos,

Lucille is doing great. Her feeds went up to 6.5mL's! That's the most it's ever been and double from yesterday's! This is also where she would have been if they hadn't stopped her feeds for the surgery.

We just wanted to send out a quick update to let y'all know that sweet Lucie Pie will be getting the PDA Ligation surgery to close the duct this afternoon.

Today was another great update for out little Lucille. She has been growing by the gram and is now over 1 kilo!!!!!! It's official, she's our drug ;)... um, maybe fix? 
 

Hi Everyone,

Today was such a great day! There I was just sleeping, resting, eating, (getting "fat an happy" as Mommy and Daddy like to say) and sleeping and resting some more and then KA-BLOOIE; Mommy and Daddy showed up for my 1 month birthday! I didn't even know a month had a birthday, let alone MY month. They gave me a sign, to make sure everyone knew about it, and these two things they said were called flowers! They were so pretty, I wonder what other kinds of flowers there are out there?  Mommy and Daddy say they are beautiful and grow just like I have been .... am I a flower?  hmmmm...

Lucie-Lyn had a super chill day today!  She is breathing well on the nasal prongs! Yayyy!  We're really hoping that she continues to do well, and that they can continue to wean her off of her oxygen settings so that perhaps they will decide she does not need the PDA ligation next week after all.

Today we received another good update for our sweet Lucille, and for mama and papa bear :D (see pictures below).  I feel like each email gets more and more medical lingo-y, so thanks for sticking with us!!
