Happy Sunday, friends and family,
Tonight's update is coming from BOTH of us! We knoooow you love it! Drea first... We had a long, sweet visit with Lucie today. I held her while Lucie had some sweet visitors. Our friends Sean and Melissa came to see her, and it was cool to think about how next month sometime, Lucie will have a fun buddy to hang out with when she meets their newborn son.
Lucie weighs 2085 grams or 4 lbs, 9.5 oz. Her head circumference is 30cm and her length is 44.5cm or 19 1/3 inches. It's amazing to see her grow healthier and stronger each day. We found out that Lucille had an eye exam last week, and at this point everything looks normal and healthy, so we were incredibly encouraged to hear that! She will have one on a routine basis every 2 weeks. Like we mentioned, she is still doing 6 hours on Nasal SPONT and 6 hours on Nasal SIMV this weekend. Any changes to that, will probably start tomorrow.
I wanted to share a little bit more about the baby shower from yesterday too. Our nursery nook is going to be travel themed, with that as their inspiration, my amazing friends put together the most beautiful travel themed baby shower. They thought of so many details, down to the cake being made to taste like our wedding cake (raspberry jam deliciousness). All of the food was themed around the cities that we will have up as decorations in Lucie's nursery. Mini caprese salad for Rome, mini bagels for New York, mini quiche and madeleines for Paris and mini scones for London. We had a fun game where everyone wrote messages on diapers so Robby and I can read them when we change Lucie Pie. Some of my favorites were the ones that had messages like, "Robby, it's your turn!" haha! Like I mentioned, we had time to pray and thank God for Lucie too, and I just loved being able to do that with all of my sweet friends. Lastly, we had presents and cake! I truly felt like it was such a special and loving time and I am so grateful for it. Here are some pictures from the shower. Robby will pick up after the jump!

So, just to be clear, this is Rob... just making sure you realized it. Good? Great! We had an amazing time at our separate but equally awesome (mine was probably more awesome) showers. It was great to get to have a piece of normalcy back and hang with the guys to talk about guy stuff.... if you guessed poop, you're right... it was a diaper party ;). I know some of you were curious as to where we were registered, and if you weren't, I'm sure you're wondering now. Right? How 'bout now?.. I knew it. Below are the links to Lucille's registries. We thank you all for your continued prayers and support. Please keep them coming, we really need them. This has been such a weight and you, along with God's strength, have truly helped to lift our spirits through it all. We love you all!
Lucie's new hat is from her friend Fairley and her onesie is from her friend Ivy. She already has so many friends who can't wait to play with her :)
