It's hard to believe that today Lucie Pie turned 14 weeks old. She has been such an inspiration to us and to so many others during her precious life already. It's so cool to see how her life is shining a light (like the meaning of her name) of the testimony of God's work through her. She is so strong and determined and even on days when she needs to take a rest, she keeps trying. It has been such a hard journey, but seeing her go from one day to the next and then to the next, gives us the extra umph to do it too.
Tonight she weighed 3,135 grams also known as 6 pounds 14.7 ounces. She has been taking the bottle well and hasn't needed the O2 while she feeds. Lucie doesn't always finish the bottle but they have started to at least try at the beginning of every feeding. Earlier today she took another full bottle without any O2. For now, since she's a big girl, they have been letting her push through any desats on her own :). We're praying she doesn't get too tired now that she's been off the O2 and is doing so much work on her own so that she won't have to go back on the O2. Here are some photos from tonight, it was warm in the room since it's starting to transition from winter time, so there were lots of naked baby photos.
As weird as this may sound, please pray for her poops. She hadn't gone in three days like we mentioned last night, and hasn't gone again since the five diaper explosion. Also pray that we won't worry too much about this and just trust that she'll be ok and work it out. Good night, all!
