Hey Gang!

I'm glad Andrea got to talk to you some yesterday, I kinda started to feel like I was "hogging" it. Also, I would just like to say please don't be alarmed if you do not get our updates at night anymore as we are trying to figure out the best time to send it now that things are getting back in full swing. BUT, you will be updated ;).

Hi everyone!

Today was a great day for my heart! I got the best surprise when I was told that I could hold my little girl for the first time (duh! of course pictures are below)! The hour went by in a minute, but she behaved so well that I was able to have the hour maximum of her being out of the isolette (aka - kennel).

Hi Family,

Today was a good day. Lucille is looking better and better every day, and is very stable. Her blood was a little low so they gave her another blood transfusion (which is normal). She still has her nostril prongs in and is of course stubbornly trying to pull them out... our lil Miss Independent at work yet again. 

Hey Family,

Today was a bit of a mixed emotions kinda day, both on a larger side of supremely happy and some concern as well. Would you like the upside or downside first?... ok downside it is. We got Lucille's head sonogram results back and they were not what we would have hoped for, although they were what we had been prepared for.

To our beloved friends and family,

We were able to see Lucille this afternoon, and will go back again tonight (to wish her Happy New Year), but just wanted to give you quick update like we did on Christmas, so you can enjoy and focus on your time with family and loved ones.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Our "Little Miss Independent" is quite insistent on doing things for herself, as I have mentioned before. She has yet again (and I'm sure this will happen many more times as she get's older) pulled the breathing tube out of her mouth. 

IMPORTANT: This will NOT be a "boring" update

IT CLOSED, IT CLOSED, IT CLOSED!!!! At around 11:30am Andrea had a conversation with the NICU telling her about the procedure that they were going to have to do tomorrow to close the duct in Sweet Lil' Lucie's heart... at 3:00PM, when Andrea went to visit Lucille, the nurse came up and told her IT CLOSED!!!! 

Hi Family,

Today was another great day for our sweet Lucie! Thank you all for your continued support and prayers. Lucie-Lyn's vitals were solid as they were yesterday. We are still waiting and praying that her murmur would close on it's own.

Today was an excellent day! For those of you keeping score at home that's one more point for the good guys!!! :D Couple of things we are thankful and praising God for. First one being BOTH eyes are open! That's right, those pirate days are behind us.
