Happy Saturday, friends!
We've been getting to know Lucie more and more each day. She has such a spunky personality, and it is pure joy to get to spend every day with her. We have had a couple of tough evenings this week where she has been quite fussy, but we're learning more about what she's trying to communicate to us so we can try to better alleviate any discomfort she might have. One night it took us almost six hours to soother her, but by the end of the week it took us less than an hour, so that's an improvement for all of us and Lucie definitely appreciated it! So what if I have to sometimes do the dishes with her strapped in to the carrier? :)
Sometimes when Lucie's napping, Bess will hear something in the hall or our buzzer will ring and she'll go into guard dog mode and bark really loudly! I'll look over at Lucie in shock that she is still asleep. Thank God she's a sound sleeper!
I will be returning to work on July 1st, so I am soaking in all of these days with Lucie and am so grateful for them. We don't have our plan for child care yet, it's a little daunting to think about. We'd be so grateful for your prayers for wisdom there :).
Not too much else going on over here, but thankfully we did recover the pictures from Mother's Day, so we'll leave you with a few of those :).
